Weave is a premium, non-algorithmic iOS news reader from Sunrise Web Studios LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information Weave may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Weave, we may process the following information:
- Account and authentication data. This may include your email address, account identifier, sign-in provider details, session information, and related authentication records needed to create and maintain your account.
- Email login information. If you sign in by email, Weave or its authentication provider may send login, verification, passwordless sign-in, or account-related emails to the address you provide.
- Sources and imports. Weave may store the RSS feeds, source selections, OPML imports, custom source URLs, categories, and related source metadata you add or choose.
- Reading and sync state. Weave may store saved articles, read/unread state, feed preferences, settings, and sync data so your reading experience can work across sessions or devices.
- Purchase and subscription status. If you subscribe or make an in-app purchase, payment is handled by Apple. We may receive limited entitlement, product, transaction, and subscription status information needed to unlock paid features.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate Weave, authenticate accounts, sync reading data, provide paid features, maintain account records, respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, and improve the reliability of the app.
RSS, OPML, and Third-Party Content
Weave helps you read content from third-party publishers and RSS sources. When you add RSS feeds or import OPML files, the source URLs and related feed metadata may be stored so the app can fetch, organize, and sync those sources. Third-party publishers may have their own privacy practices when their websites or content are loaded outside Weave or through web views.
Subscriptions and Apple
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple's privacy policy and App Store terms apply to Apple's processing of purchase information.
Sponsored or Native Placements
Weave may support sponsored or native ad placements for free users. If used, these placements should be presented in the app experience and may rely on basic app context, such as the free tier status or placement location. We do not use this website to run advertising scripts, analytics, cookies, or trackers.
No Sale of Personal Information
Sunrise Web Studios LLC does not sell your personal information.
Cookies and Tracking on This Site
This static website does not use analytics scripts, tracking pixels, external JavaScript, or cookies.
Data Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help operate Weave, such as authentication, hosting, database, email, infrastructure, and payment entitlement services. We may also disclose information if required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, prevent abuse, or complete a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Weave, maintain account records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some information may be retained in backups or logs for a limited period.
Your Choices
You may update or remove sources in the app, manage App Store subscriptions through Apple, and request account support or deletion by contacting us. Account deletion may remove or disable access to account-linked sync data, subject to reasonable retention for legal, security, backup, or operational needs.
Children
Weave is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate.
